Shinshu Arts Climate Camp Series
/私はアーツカウンシル信州のアドバイザーとして、長野のアーツカウンシル全体のビジョンに気候や環境への配慮を取り入れるよう呼びかけてきました。長野のアーツコミュニティの多くの同志の支援とビジョンのおかげで、第1回目の【信州アーツクライメートキャンプ】を開催することができます。基本的な考え方は、長野県内各地でパートナー団体やスペースと共にミーティングを開催し、芸術コミュニティが気候危機について考え、情報を共有し、長野県内外で行動を拡大するためのロビー活動を行うための公開フォーラムを提供することです。その目的は、長野県内の気候変動に対する意識の高いアート関係者のネットワークを構築し、アーツカウンシル信州のコアミッションに組み込むことができる「環境責任声明」のような文書を提出することです。
第1回キャンプは7月4日、信州大学松本キャンパスで開催されます。環境社会学の研究者であり、長野県で何十年にもわたり意識啓発に尽力してきた茅野恒秀先生が基調講演を行います。その後、対談と芸術文化と気候危機にフォーカスをシフトしたオープンディスカッションです。第2回キャンプは秋に計画中で、できれば上田で開催する予定です。
As an advisor to Arts Council Shinshu I have been calling for the integration of climate awareness into the overall vision of the Arts Council in Nagano. Thanks to the support and vision of many comrades in the arts community in Nagano, we are happy to announce the first [Shinshu Arts Climate Camp]. The basic idea is to hold meetings around Nagano prefecture together with partnering organizations and spaces, to provide a public forum where the arts community can think about the climate crisis, share information and hopefully lobby for expanded action in Nagano and beyond. The aim is to create networks of climate-aware arts practitioners in Nagano, and submit an Environmental Responsibility Statement that can be integrated into the core mission of Arts Council Shinshu.
The first camp will be held on July 4th at the Matsumoto campus of Shinshu University. Chino Sensei, a researcher in environmental sociology who has been active for many decades in raising awareness in Nagano prefecture, will give a keynote presentation. This will be followed by a conversation, and open discussion that shifts the focus to the arts and the climate crisis. The second camp is being planned sometime in the autumn, hopefully in Ueda.
